Leading French wide format printer, Ateliers Cassandre, has streamlined workflow with Esko Automation Engine, leading to an upturn in productivity and throughput.
Ateliers Cassandre is a leading specialist in large and very large format printing in Paris, France. The company works with communications and events agencies, design departments, signage and scenography organizations and private companies, delivering everything from flexible UV printing, sublimation printing of decorative fabrics and adhesive printing through to rigid media printing and digital cutting.
With a clear plan for growth and development, Clément Asnar, Managing Director at Ateliers Cassandre, is focusing on the company’s digital transformation. “This is a key step for us at this point in time, so that our Web to Print system can meet the needs of our customers 24/7, anywhere in the world,” said Mr Asnar. “But in order to achieve this, we really needed to streamline workflows and reduce the time required to process requests.”
Having previously installed a Kongsberg cutting table at the heart of production for the large formats it prints, Ateliers Cassandre sought to implement Automation Engine to enhance customer service even further.

Automation Engine is Esko’s workflow server which not only automates print production tasks but also integrates business systems. This both serves to speed up the process and more importantly reduces the error rate, removing the need for operator intervention.
The only workflow solution that automates the requirements of different printing techniques, Automation Engine means that only one production file containing the parameters for digital, flexo and offset printing is required for combination print jobs.

Since introducing Automation Engine, Ateliers Cassandre has significantly streamlined its workflow and is now able to process job requests in less than five minutes.
