Online Print Symposium in September 2021

The annual Online Print Symposium, which will be taking place for the 9th time this year in Munich on 14 and 15 September 2021, is all about change. Of course, the focus will continue to be on the development and future of the online print industry. The theme “Start Up and Print Online!” lets you know that there are sure to be innovations. With the “Insight Pitches”, selected start-ups will have the opportunity to introduce themselves in a short presentation, to report on their key to success and to point out cooperation possibilities. This will make the program at the upcoming industry-leading event even more diverse.

Many speakers have already been confirmed

Top-class speakers will be giving insights into their strategies and future plans. They will report on their practices, point out trends and create ideas and impulses for new markets in e-business print. Once again we have succeeded in winning the CEO of an industry leader for the opening keynote of the Online Print Symposium: Roland Keppler, CEO of Onlineprinters, will give his keynote on the topic of “Internationalization of Online Print”.

With the other top speakers, top-class presentations are pre-programmed:

  • Karim Bannour from Marktplatz1: “Amazon Custom: Opportunities and Risks”.
  • Hanne Dinkel, CCDO at the Spread Group: “Women in leadership positions in the print on demand business”.
  • Georg Hansbauer from Testbirds: “Optimising digital products”.
  • Ludovic Martin, independent consultant: “Online print in France”.
  • Andreas Otto, CEO of PosterXXL, “Strategies for long-term success”.
  • Haeme Ulrich of Publishing Blog: “Digital Leadership”
  • Thomas Völcker, CEO of TOPP digital: “Lessons Learned: The Bumpy Road of an Autodidact to Online Print Success”.
  • Christian Weyer from Zaikio: “Man vs. Machine: 30 years of working with the computer – what comes next?
  • Bernd Zipper from zipcon consulting: “Developments and trends in the online print industry 2021”

Start-ups: Apply for the Insight Pitches

Young companies can take advantage of the opportunity and apply for one of the coveted places at the Insight Pitches: https://www.online-print-symposium.de/en/startup-application/

Applications will be accepted until 30 June 2021. The organizers will select the most interesting start-ups and most creative applications at the beginning of July, making the program even more diverse. The opportunity to apply for a place as a speaker is new. Co-organizer Bernd Zipper is enthusiastic about the idea: “With this, we are also offering the “smaller firms” in the industry the opportunity to draw attention to themselves. Who knows, maybe there are ingenious start-ups that we don’t even have on our radar, but which very well deserve the big stage. We want to offer these creative minds a great chance to be heard.”

“Since 2013, the Online Print Symposium has accompanied the rapidly developing online print industry and provides new impulses for the future, every year. This year’s OPS program represents the exciting times we are currently living in. Established business models are being put to the test and the opportunities of digitalization are creating innovative business cases. With the “Insight Pitches”, we can expect inspiring success stories that show that even “older firms” can learn from up-and-coming young entrepreneurs.” Says Jens Meyer from co-organizer printXmedia Süd.

Networking in a special atmosphere

With two evening events, the Insider Get-Together on the evening before the symposium and the Networking Dinner on the evening of the first day of the event, as well as a partner exhibition, there will be numerous opportunities for networking. Decision-makers can exchange ideas with potential partners in a relaxed atmosphere.

In previous years top-class representatives of many companies have been at the OPS, such as Avery Zweckform, Cewe, Cimpress, Deutsche Post, Elanders, Flyeralarm, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, Hewlett-Packard, Koenig & Bauer, Landa Digital Printing, Livonia Print, MRM Global, Mymuesli, My Postcard, Onlineprinters, Picanova, Posterlounge, Sappi, Saxoprint, Spreadshirt, Viaprinto or Wir machen Druck. Participants can make important contacts with the top players in the industry and establish and expand business relationships.

The unique industry event with 300 international participants has established itself as the meeting place for the e-business print community worldwide. From the big players in the industry to creative newcomers, the audience is broadly diversified. The Online Print Symposium is organized by zipcon consulting GmbH and the German Printing and Media Industries Federation (bvdm).
