Online Print Symposium 2023: Top line-up for the 10th anniversary

Speakers and partners confirmed – Programme is online – Insight Pitches – Special Celebration – New social media channels – Register now

Munich, 7th February 2023

The 10th Online Print Symposium will take place on 23 and 24 March 2023 at the Science Congress Center Munich. The organisers, zipcon consulting GmbH and the Bundesverband Druck und Medien e.V. (German Printing and Media Industries Federation), have come up with some highlights and surprises for the celebration event. The motto “Empowering the Future of Print” characterises the programme of this year’s Online Print Symposium: the strengthening and growth of online print.

The programme is online

The programme of the Online Print Symposium 2023 is now online. The opening keynote by Robert Keane, CEO of the online print market leader Cimpress, is eagerly awaited. Thematically, he will look at the opportunities of artificial intelligence (including ChatGPT), online print in “virtual worlds” (Metaverse), sustainability in online printing and agile e-commerce.

This year, ten speakers and seven start-ups will give exciting insights into their business models and answer questions from the audience. From a large number of good applications, the organisers have included innovative and exciting insight pitches in the programme.

In the afternoon of the first day of the symposium there will be a “Special Celebration”, for which the organisers have come up with something very unique. What exactly this will be, however, is still top secret.

Further top-class speakers have been confirmed

Some of the speakers are already known, but now more prominent names have been added. Jörg Schieb, who works for ARD and ZDF, is an absolute digital expert. In his closing keynote, he will explain and classify the hype surrounding ChatGPT. And he will answer the question of how AI can be used in e-commerce.

Björn Ognibeni is Strategic Director of the XR-Lab at the Marketing Center Münster of the Westphalian Wilhelms University, as well as a consultant and specialises in digital transformation and is an absolute expert on China. As co-founder of the XR-Lab, he researches the potential of virtual realities and the metaverse. In his morning Speech, he will give an insight into online business in “virtual reality”. In doing so, Ognibeni not only looks into virtual worlds – but also at the gigantic e-commerce market of China.

Monika Sommerfeld, Managing Director at allcop Farbbild-Service GmbH & Co. KG, will deal with the change of generations in the company and the transformation of a classic, medium-sized photography company from analogue to digital. It is also exciting to see how she, as a manager, balances the generational change in the company, family and its transformation.

Peter Bottenberg is Managing Director of Moss GmbH and other European locations of the Moss Group, a global leader in large format print. He will discuss mass customisation in large format and will also address the topic of change management.

The circle of OPS partners is growing. In addition to already well-known market players, Landa Digital Printing, Deutsche Post and Konica Minolta are back at the OPS this year. A new partner is Durst Image Technology Deutschland GmbH, one of the leading manufacturers of digital printing and production technologies, which will present its solutions for various business areas.

Exchange at eye level with the OPS partners

Guests can network not only at the partner stands, but especially during the two evening events. Both at the Insider Get-Together on the evening before the symposium and at the Networking Dinner on the evening of the first day of the symposium, the focus will be on exchanging ideas at eye level and making new contacts.

Good conversations in a good mood are not only to be found at the partner stands and during the breaks at the Online Print Symposium, but also at the two evening events.

Co-organiser Jens Meyer, Managing Director of printXmedia Süd GmbH, looks back: “Ten years ago we started the Online Print Symposium because we were convinced that the online print industry needed such a platform. We would never have guessed what it has become in the meantime: Not only the leading online print meeting place, but an internationally attended symposium with many regular guests and always newly interested parties. But of course we are not resting on our laurels, but are continuously developing this format. Be curious to see what surprises there will be in this anniversary year!”
