Benelux Online Print Event for the first time in the Netherlands
In a new location and prior to the second day of the Sign & Print Expo, VIGC once again presents an exited program on e-commerce for the graphic arts industry. Easyfairs’ Next Level event location in Gorinchem just across the Belgian border is not only particularly pleasant, but also very accesible.
This fifth edition of BOPE – which has become an established event within the Benelux Online Print industry – creates a platform for everyone involved in online print. It is the meeting place to gather information on personalization, digital transformation, e-commerce and web-to-print for production companies, suppliers and the educational environment.
With 140 participants last year, BOPE welcomed European business owners, CEOs, COOs and department managers.
This year, international experts will each share insights from their own perspective through inspiring sector analyses and case studies. We will even look over our industry’s wall during the keynote ‘E-commerce in China’. BOPE is therefore the annual appointment for anyone who has or is about to integrate online print into their business model.
By linking BOPE to the Sign & Print expo, a unique concept is created whereby knowledge transfer and networking with regard to online print can be linked to a visit to the exhibition. Convenient and efficient!
Also explore the Belgian Beer Café, which you can discover during the networking after the event. This Belgian beer tasting will be provided by professional beer sommeliers. This one’s not to be missed!

Status Quo: Online Print – Quo Vadis, dear Mothership?
2023 – is the year “after” Corona and “with the energy crisis”. Topics such as sustainability, print runs to meet demand, declining print runs, and high price pressure are occupying print companies throughout Europe. What happens next – after Corona? Will what “goes digital” – really be “completely digital”? What role will print play in the media channel mix of B2B customers in the future – what role in the B2C sector? And: What impact will “real AI tools” like ChatGPT have on the print industry? Bernd Zipper, a regular guest at BOPE for years, will present his view of the new, changed social and market situation and – exclusively for BOPE23 participants – his market forecast for 2023.
With his presentation on Connected Automation Tom will explore how automation in print production is evolving from the automation of individual tasks to a fully connected, data-driven workflow from job onboarding to final delivery.
Personalised Children’s Storybooks and their online revolution
Richard’s presentation will be based around the new technologies he has applied to the oldest vehicles (books) to bring them to a new audience for the digital generation.
Opportunities in the European printing environment

The evolution of eCommerce in China: How to adapt to changing markets, use data and maximize customer value
Over the course of half a decade, China became the biggest e-commerce market in the world. Ed shows the importance of data and ecosystems in the features of Chinese e-commerce companies and shares forms of e-commerce like live commerce, customer-to-manufacturer (C2M) and new retail that have evolved in China and are now impacting the global market.
The practical and workflow side of stepping into the platform economy
Getting more print jobs and sales without extra effort sounds good… but how does it really work? How to avoid common mistakes and drive success in 90 days? And how to sync your production when you get the volume from a rapidly growing platform economy? We will explain how!
